I have a Blue Wyandotte hen, Ellie!
She has hatched out a few broods, but we haven't ever done planned breeding, but I plan to!
These were not planned. Lol! My hen has been hiding and only coming out of the woods every few days. And then yesterday she came out with 3 babies so I gathered them all and put in the coop!

Can you explain that to me. And I will of course post pictures as they get older. They are a week old today doing great!
Any bird bred to a mottled bird all offspring will carry the gene but won't show it unless bred to a split or a visual mottled I bred a blue laced silver roo over speckled sussex hens and those are split to mottled which next year I will be breeding to get mottled possibly mottled laced also known as tolbunt
