New babies hatching!!!

Well, later this afternoon I could have one new baby!!!!

My husband said that he checked and there is a small hole on one of the eggs!!!!!! Not sure how long it will take the little one to hatch completely, but I can't wait!!!!! This is her first hatch. She's about 7months old and she has been an excellent mommy!!! She only has we think 2 eggs that could hatch! Will keep updates as I have them!

Well...there's at least one new baby!! Momma won't let us get too close or check to see if there's more than the one.

Been tryin for pictures but might have to wait a few days. It is a tiny chick!!!! Looks like a chipmunk!

I love the little chipmunk babies!!!

My broody hatched two chicks out a couple of weeks ago. They are the Sumatra chicks in my Avatar.

Well.... woke up this morning and my husband and daughter went out to see if there were more babies and the one that was born yesterday was dead.

Not sure what happened to it. Should've take it out when I had the chance. Hopefully she'll hatch out more.

Yep. She's only about 7 months old. So sad. She was doing so well with it too. Every time it would peep she'd stand up, made sure it was warm, etc. Who knows.

Unfortunately, it's how 'mother nature works' you win some, you loose some...

Even when we incubate we loose chicks.

Yeah. Just thought she was doing so well with it that it would've at least made it through the night. There'll be more right? Gotta try not to dwell on loosing one.
