New Babies, Sexes? Names?

Bad Pic, this is right after I got them home and forgot to put bedding in the brooder, so they were in my laundry basket for a second as Kevin watched.

Any ideas on sex? They are about 2-3 weeks old

I heard the dark headed welshies are female. It looks to me like you have a male and a female.

That would make sense, that is the loudest one! I mean it talks non stop all the time

So I decided on the names of Nigel and Babs, Or The Wellingtons as Kevin is calling them

It's not the head color, but the bill color that will let you know if it is a girl or boy. The one on the left sure does look like a girl.

The smudging on the head can usually tell you if the duck is gold or silver phase. If it is black, silver phase. Brownish or none, gold phase.

Based on that, your girl is gold and the other duck is a silver.

I thought the color bill thing only applied right after birth, the dark baby as a dark bill as well. These babies are 2-3 weeks old.

Thanks for correcting Wifezilla. I wasn't positive about the head thing, it was just something I heard.

Well seeing how different they are I think we have a boy and a girl, the yellower baby does have dark tipping (black looking to me) just not a lot. No matter the sex I like the names, haha so they will stay.
