Thanks!!! my husband is impressed with the speedy replies!! I'm trying to introduce them to our year old buff orps, the little barred rock wants to be queen bee, but I don't think she will win that title!!

Haha! I had a little RIR that did that. The funniest things it was with buff orps as well. Although my orps are very well behaved and layed back, and not agresseive in the least(I love the orpington breed) but when the RIR tried to be top dog she got put in her place fast. And to this day they are still top of the peking order.

do you have any pics of a black star?? you think it's a rooster? i wouldn't be able to keep a rooster!! that would be too bad.
