just thought I would show off my new chicks and later on update how they grow. 4 are Australian Araucanas and the little black beauty is a bonus Belgian D'uccle.

I was surprised to find someone who sells Araucana chicks, usually only find fertile eggs and older birds so I jumped right in when I saw them. they will be hatching regularly so I can see more in the future, especially since I only got 4 and knowing chickens most (hopefully not all) will end up cockerels :lau

Sadly lost one of the Araucanas suddenly not long after I got them then the D'uccle the week after, the D'uccle did show signs of sickness early on but the other did not. So I'm left with three remaining Araucana's
One seems to be slower to grow and feather Than the other two but otherwise appears healthy. I have been offered replacements for the two I lost but I'm yet to decide if I will accept

little ones are now 6 weeks, I'm thinking the two bigger are a cockerel and pullet. Not sure about the smaller one.
They are enjoying their new home in their coop/run which is much roomier and cooler than inside the house (getting to summer here).
