New babies

i am new to baby chicks. My temperature read states 90 in middle. Do they seem fine in pic. They are sleeping. ?

Go by behavior rather than temp. If they are crowded together all the time, they are too cold. If spread out and panting, they are too hot. Do you have the heat lamp over one area and have an area that is cool?

You may want to move the light a little further away. It looks like the chicks are trying to get away from the heat. How much room do they have that isn't shown in this picture?

They have three more feet to right. At the temp probe it’s 90. They all just went there a fell asleep.

They look spread out but sleeping. Do they move a lot when awake?

Like @A_Fowl_Guy said, you need to make sure there is a spot that is warmer, and one that is cooler. They will lay in the spot that is the perfect temperature for them. Each chick is different and may like a slightly different temperature than it's flock mates. As long as they're active when awake, you should be fine.

Thanks all for info. Just wanted to verify. They were moving and eatting. I have just been slowly adjusting this for the last few hours. Trying to make sure they have room to cool and heat.
