NEW BABIES!

So I had a hen (her name is Spot) go broody and gave her 9 fertilized eggs from a friend. (We don't have a rooster so the eggs she was originally tying to hatch were not going to.
They are due to hatch Monday so I built a nesting area for her where she won't get attacked by anyone (she was currently in Medusa's favourite nesting box and would get bullied off the nest for Medusa to lay an egg and then would hope back in) and has easy access to food and water plus more room for her chicks.
Well I went to move her and her eggs and when I started picking her up babies started popping out of her feathers! I guess they came early!
But now she's one happy Mamma
This is her first time being Broody and our first time having chicks hatched by one of our chickens!

Thanks! It was quite funny because I didn't expect them to be out of their eggs so when I started lifting her and a tiny head peeked out at me it was a heck of a surprise
