My chicks are almost 4 weeks (rhode island reds and mix) and wondering when I can move them into the barn with a heat lamp?

The fry pan meat chicks are huge, messy, and loud. They always act like they are starving which I think from what I read, is normal. But ready for them too go out. It has been 25-45 degrees here and wondering if I put them all out if its ok. I think the fry pan chicks would be ok. My 4 wk rhode islands are already flying across their brooders and think they would be more comfortable in a larger area (barn)

Once they are fully feathered they are all fine to move to the barn as long as they have an additional heat source. Depending on how many chicks you have, you may need two heat lamps so that they don't smother each other. They have a tendency to pile up if there's not enough heated space.
