Hi all, I woke up this morning to 8 new baby coturnix quail from my flock. I have had them in the incubator for a while and they were supposed to hatch on the 5th. Low and behold they hatched today just as I was about to give up hope. I believe tha tmy incubator temp was too low and that is why it took so long for them to develop. I will post pics tomorrow.

9 have and there are 5 eggs left it sounds like 3 of the five are pipping but haven't broke through yet. Would it be ok to take the 9 to the brooder and let the three others hatch. I am just wondering if the other three will rely on the others to hatch.

If there is NO pipping holes in any of the eggs, you can get the dry babies out of the incubator. But once these eggs start pipping, you can't open the lid. :)

Yeah I guess I read that wrong. My personal preference is to leave them in that incubator because once they're out...the real work begins

10 out of 15 eggs hatched! They are adorable, and seem to be healthy.... Here are the photos I promised.....
