I kniw the last time I posted here it was something wrong with my chicks. I work at a nursery where we sell chickens of all ages. Austerlorps, Americanas, and Buckeyes. I came into work to find one ofbour 6-8 week old Buckeyes being tormented by the adult Americanas. They wouldnt let him eat or drink water. I brought him home and all he has been doing is drinking water and eating. At first he was very lethargic...he couldnt stand...he was falling. He can actually stand up now, which makes me sooo happy. We kept him seperated from our flock because he was being picked on here too. I worry because he wont forage like the others he is super attached to me...really pale...his collar bone is protruding. Please help...he is asleep in my swester right now.

Are you keeping him warm with a heat lamp? Put some water in his feed, and add a little buttermilk for probiotics. Raw egg can be stirred in. Every day change it and clean the bowl. If he grows well, you might want to cage him with food and water, then place his cage in with the other chickens while they are foraging and in their coop. But wait 30 days until you make sure that he doesn't have any diseases. Eventually, let him out for short periods with the others after he is close in size, but watch so that he isn't attacked. Another chick might be good to keep him company, and not get too attached to you. They really need company. A mirror or small soft fuzzy toy may also help him.
