Yesterday I got five little chicks, and they were doing fine until today I noticed that one ( my favorite, sadly ) has a long cut on its stomach area. She is doing fine, eating, drinking, running around, and no one is pecking her. I’m not sure what to do. I’m putting hydrogen peroxide and petroleum jelly on it, but is that good? And will it help? Please respond!

Can you post some photos of the cut?

Is it her navel?

I would stop the Peroxide, it can damage delicate skin with over use.

Without seeing it, it's hard to know what to recommend, but general wound care would be to rinse the affected area (saline, soap/water, etc.) and apply a triple antibiotic ointment or Vetericyn.

Yes, a picture or two would definitely help and I also agree with stopping the peroxide, especially if the cut is clean, not gooey or infected. I, personally, being a herbalist, don't use anything made with petroleum (vaseline etc), my recommendation (take it or leave it, I won't be offended) is to make some oregano tea (1 tsp oregano to 1 cup water, make it as you would if you were going to drink it) let it cool to room temp and let her drink some of that. Oregano is a very good antibiotic for both humans and chickens.

This is the chick. Oh, also, I want to try the oregano tea stuff, so could I just put it in the waterer I have in the brooder?

It's hard to see the cut. Just try to keep it clean, apply treatment of choice and watch for infection (redness, swelling, discharge, pus, odors, lethargy, stopping eating/drinking).

Okay. I tried to get the best pic, but it have been trying to cover it up with fluff, and I didn’t want to do any damage to the chick by opening it up more. But thanks for your info!

yes you can put it in her regular waterer, half a cup per day, when she has drunk all of the half cup for the day, switch back to regular water until tomorrow, then another half cup. You can give them oregano tea for their entire lives, it has been shown to prevent and treat many illnesses through the whole life of the chicken. You can give them fresh oregano leaves too just be sure she has some chick grit to help her crop grind up the leaves. If you have a lot of chicks drinking out of the same waterer then make enough tea for each to have half a cup per day.
