New baby chicks! Need help determining parents.

So I recently hatched some chicks and I'm just looking for some help pairing parents. 2 eggs were from my rooster and hen. I have attached the parents pic. The others came from a good friend that had a barred rock roo and isa brown hens and wyndotte hens. The pics of the chicks are the ones I am having some trouble pairing with the correct parents.

There is a chance that they're also mixed! I'm not an expert on determining the breed of baby Chicks, but it would be more helpful if they got older and showed more colors I hatched Black Maran x Leghorn and Rhode Island Red x Leghorn. They ( the people I was hatching for ) had 1 Black Maran pullet, 1 Leghorn rooster and the rest ( around 16 R.I.R chickens ) were Rhode Island Red. I had 13 eggs hatch and lived. I had 3 Black Maran eggs and 1 was fully black, 1 had a white dot on the head, and the other one came out white with 2 black dots. I had 1 fully red Rhode Island Red and the other had some white streaks through his feathers. I had 2 fully white Leghorns but the rest had a light creamy brown white color.

The remaining chicks look just like barred rock chicks so I think they're going to be tough to determine if mom was an isa brown or the GLW. I thought possibly the lighter ones with the black spots were barred rock with isa brown. The posted pics of the parents I own are both mixed breeds I just wasn't sure if they would have produced the buff chick along with the all black chick. I only had 2 blue eggs in the incubator and both hatched so I was just curious if I could pair the offspring to them.

GLW mix chicks will all have rose combs. Isa Brown mix will have single.

Do we think this one is also from the barred rock or possibly from my parents that are pictured in my previous post? There were 6 black chicks and she is the only one that doesn't have the cream underbelly and head spot.

It doesn’t seem like the parents you have described can produce a black chick without a head spot. Are you sure there isn’t a tiny head spot?

The other option is if your friend’s “barred rock” rooster isn’t pure. If he’s not pure barred rock, then he could have only one gene for barring instead of two, so in that case he could make a black chick without barring.

It doesn’t seem like the parents you have described can produce a black chick without a head spot. Are you sure there isn’t a tiny head spot?

I believe the all black chick came from these two.
