Hi I was posting this to see if anyone had some information on goats. I am getting one Christmas week.
I was am getting a Nigerian dwarf goat(he is dark brown on the body, white spots by his tail, and tan and white on his face). I haven't decided his name yet I will when i go to see him for the first time. SOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!
so anyone have goats or information they would like to share
Whatever anyone post that is helpful I will like it. Thanks in advance

Be sure you vaccinate with CD/T. That is for tetanus and clostridium perfingens (enterotoxemia).

Do you have other goats to make friends with him? Or sheep or ponies, other hoofed animals his size, to be his companions?
Goats without good friends tend to be escape artists, which turns into a PITA for you.

Great! I suggest you watch Weed em & Reap on YouTube! They have LOTS of videos about LOTS of things that might can help you when starting out with goats!

They also set their videos on gardening, predator protection, chickens, pigs, goat births, goat breeding, goat milking, building and renovating, and their videos are so well edited! I don’t personally like cooking but it draws me in every time! I wouldn’t suggest you listen to everything they say, it’s best to get a second opinion, but their family is experienced by 13 years (I believe) so most of what they say is truthful and good information.

There’s lots of goat channels out there, to get the best information about starting goats, you can read articles, watch videos, and post on BYC or BYH for your own questions!
