I just bought my first 6 chickens and am using the biggest dog kennel they make for them right now. I am only planning on keeping 2 or 3 because I’m splitting them with a friend. And I live in town so cannot have any roosters. How long till I will be able to know if they are roosters or hens? This is really a project/learning experience for my 11 year old granddaughter that I’m raising.

Hello, Lorrie, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I agree that you really need to get the coop built. Visit that form forum so you know the space and ventilation recommendations for the structure.
