Hi, my kids and I are ready to embark on raising chickens in our backyard. We are thinking of getting some Easter egg chickens and also need some supplies to get going. Does anyone out there have any suggestions of a hatchery we could go to locally vs. acquiring eggs through the mail? I'm also looking for an incubator, brooder, and ideally a disassembled chicken coop for a couple hens. This looks like a great forum. Thanks!

from Ohio. So glad you joined. Check out the coop section here. You might find something there or Craigslist sometimes has them. I use a large rubbermaid tote for my brooders and I also built my own bator. You can look at my page for instructions.
