Hello everyone ! I'm David M Sharpe,a.k.a."Forrest". My wife is Cathy,whom I've been married to for 23 years. I have a daughter,Ashley,and two grandsons,Jacob and Grant.
I'm originally from Huntsville,Alabama but moved to Indiana 23 years ago via a job transfer and to be with my future wife. I've been a truck driver for 41 years so far, along with electrician,plumber,carpenter....things associated with being a DIY homeowner-lol!
My late aunt and uncle always had chickens as long as I could remember. They had an assortment of Plymouth rocks,Rhode island reds, banties(sp)?. There were a couple of red boosters, but mostly they were hens for egg production. Whenever I was visiting,I'd help Aunt Willie gather eggs or throw the slop bucket. Now we're taking on 10 laying hens and their attendant coop from one of my wife's co-workers. I'm looking forward to it,but I will need some pointers to get caught back up from a long absence from the coop,as well as sharing my experiences to come. Thank you and look forward to hearing from y'all !
