New Backyard Chicken Keeper

I cracked open an egg this morning and saw this cluster of soft really gross matter in the eggwhite. No oder or other dustinctions. (Pic shows the weird matter in spoon)
Hoping anyone else has seen before and knows what it is. YUCK

Cut some of it open. It looks like lash material that got incorporated into an egg. It is the result of an oviduct infection.

Thank you for the Welcoming and for the information on lash material!
The matter was very very soft and squishy...too soft to cut.
I will keep monitoring the hens/eggs for this. Their coop is clean and I have added apple cider vinegar to their water.
This site is excellent! I appreciate the sharing of information and suggestions!
