Hello, my name's Amanda and I've been thinking about starting a backyard flock ever since we moved to Tennessee. This weekend we finally set up our backyard coop and ended up with two Swedish Flower pullets from a local guy (who I think may post here as well). We are open to advice, though we did a lot of reading before taking the plunge, so hopefully the girls have a nice set up.

As you can see, my schnauzer is extremely interested in them, so any advice on terriers would be awesome.

Wow, what a neat setup you have. And your girls are just adorable!

Welcome from Ohio....so glad you joined BYC

My sister has 2 schnauzers who visit my free range flock and they dont bother them. She has them well trained with "NO" tho.

Good luck to you raising your new babies. They are cute

Congrats on taking the plunge! LOL

Nice coop..I saw this exact same one at TSC and I liked it but was concerned that the latches were quite flimsy, you may want to reinforce them if you have predators in your area. You want to keep those nice birds safe!
