Hello Backyard chicken friends,
New to the community but not necessarily chickens.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had chickens growing up in rural southern Oregon. Then as an adult we got our first backyard flock of 4 (two golden sex links, 1 Rhode island red and 1 barred rock) that we had for 2 years before moving and rehoming them to my parents and their flock.
After several years and moves we back in the chicken gang and have 4 bantys. We had 5 one was a rooster so we just recently rehomed him. Thinking 1 more might be as well.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have? Silkie, Dutch Bantam, Frizzle (maybe bantam Cochin) and not sure brown feather footed bantam.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Their fun personality, eggs, eating veggie scraps.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Baking, travel, econ podcasts.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have a small zoo including 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 1 dog and 1 bearded dragon.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I don't remember when I first found byc, maybe with our first backyard flock 5 years ago. Probably found on a Google search.
