New batch of babies not getting along, Speckled Sussex getting picked on?

So this is my second time raising baby chicks. This time I have 4 Easter Eggers that are mostly in the Ameraucana Family a Speckled Sussex and a Sapphire Gem which I got just a few days after the EE’s so they are a little younger but not by much. They are now about 4 weeks old. The problem is that the Speckled Sussex is getting picked on by the EE’s, I think. She runs away afraid of them and has a few lumps on her head that are slightly balding and look inflamed (see photo). I separated her but was worried she would be to lonely on her own. I tried several buddies and the only one that she was at easy around was the Sapphire Gem I bought with her. So now they are together separate from the EE’s. My question is how will I need to integrate them when she is healed. Just worried she will never be excepted because she is so docile. I didn’t ever have to separate my first batch, they all got along so well. Open to all advice on the subject. They will not be meeting the big girls till they are about three months and will be in a completely separate area but able to see each other and introduced very slowly. Mainly looking for advice on chicks that are picked on early from their flock mates and what to do. Thanks

keep them together but seperated by wire more or less, several ways to do it, doesnt have to be the same pen but close ... when they get older theyre better equiped to avoid mean peers .. but they may never be friends .. integration is more about just making it work more than them all accepting each other ..

I dont know if this helps but I agree seperate but let them hear and see the picked on chick. I think every group of chicks I had went though a range bullies. Those that were not roos seemed to chill out eventually . And the Roos that were not a good fit found another home... so to speak... (I did keep one roo per group of hens) In last years clutch of 8 my biggest bully is now bottom of the pecking order. I just recently had my older group of 6 suddenly turn on one of their own, I cooped her in a separate place for whatever happened to calm down and now (a month or so later) everyone is totally fine again.

She seems to be doing fine now with just the Sapphire Gem but I don’t have a way of them all seeing each other still, got to figure that out. Or maybe I just do that when they go to their bigger home in the coop but separate from the big girls. So three separate areas till their all use to each other.

Ya I think I might have a Roo or two. I bought all pullets but you never know. My my first six I thought I had a Roo too but nope all turned out to be hens. Hopefully it’s the same thing in this batch.

so glad I did keep my Roo. He is a PIT"a" to humans.. but he's a good boy tries his best with his responsibilities (teehee) certainly don't want to cast a negative light on them. good luck and I agree seeing each other is a step towards a neutral living situation, at least in my limited experience

PIT”a” ? I’m not up on the cool terms these days. What does that mean. I tried looking it up but couldn’t figure it out.
