The time has come… after years of loneliness, and no chickens, I have another chance for building a new flock! This moment has been longed for a very long time. I am so excited and grateful to be starting this journey again.
A little backstory for those that might not know. I had chickens for years and I was super invested in hatching and raising chickens. I was constantly turning a new batch of chicks out. Then times changed, I no longer had unlimited free time to care for them, and inflation caused feed prices to go up so bad we could no longer maintain our flock. So I sadly had to part with all of my lovely ladies and gentlemen.
It has now been 3 long years since I have had chickens, but now all of that is going to change.
My chicken bestie as I like to call her, surprised me yesterday with a dozen large fowl Cochin eggs to incubate!!! Talk about Easter Eggs!! I am going to start up the incubator tonight and let it run all night then I will set them probably early tomorrow morning. Some will be partridge color and some will be gold laced. Please follow me on this new chapter!!

I have a few bantam calico roosters. No frizzled though. I love the bantams the best, but still love the standards too. Got a few ordered for June. They are fun chickens. Can't wait to see what colors you hatch.
