I've been raising chickens since last spring and have recently lost one of my girls to a dog attack. So this spring I went and replaced her with two new chicks, who have been living in the spare room of my house. Now that both are nearing three months old I've been noticing that one of them has become really loud and obnoxious with small attempts at crowing. Only problem I can't really tell which one is making the noise and was really hoping that it wasn't a rooster. If anyone could please help me in identifying the boy I would appreciate it. Will post pictures when I can and thank you.

Working on it, if only they would stay still and let me catch it

Best time to catch them is at night - birds don't generally move around when it is dark. You could catch them and maybe bring them in the house for a quick photo session - have someone help you. Or put them in a cage - so you can photograph them the next morning.

PS your suspect roo, probably has the largest comb of the two and is probably reddened.
