Thank you and you're welcome. It's something I have to deal with myself so I was able to recognise she was at the point where she was unable to make any decision. She was actually relieved. She said wants the bird back in a couple months. I told her no, not until she can demonstrate that she understands everything the bird needs to be healthy, that she has her ex-dys in better control, and that she can afford upkeep. It was painful to say but she needed to hear it. I'm giving her a baby spider plant with the direction that it has to get big enough to have it's own babies (along with the other 3 things) before I'll consider giving the bird back.I’m so glad you were able to adopt this little bird. I’d also like to thank you for being kind and non-judgmental with your words. Many people don’t know about executive dis-function.
Good luck with your new little friend. She sounds adorable
I try to dance with my ducks but they just give me the side eye like I’m crazy.
Thank you so much!Welcome to BYC @Lawst
Glad you could join us all here! I used to have a cockatiel, he was called Peetree. You might like to pop by our caged section for the chat about them ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/caged-birds-parrots-canaries-finches-etc.57/
