Well,
A family friend went a little crazy with his pheasant hatching, and wound up with way too many birds! So, my uncle told me to call him and I did, and he had me go over. WOW, is all I can say. His son is a friend of mine and he raises a few different breeds of birds for show, but sheesh, they hatched a billion birds! They had probably 100 chicks of various ages in the garage, it was pretty awesome! So, he tried to get me to take home 20 pheasants, and I talked him down to 10,lol. They are all ringnecks from what I gathered, but 5 are white. Now, I've heard they are pretty spazzy, so I was REALLY shocked at how tame these are. I figure it will fade as they age, but Im going to try my hardest to keep them as tame as possible. All 10 just sat on the perch after I put them there and a couple even sat on my shoulder! Anyways, Here are the pics!
White one on my shoulder...
Normal on my shoulder....
*Guess this shoulda been the first pic, ehh?
*
Any extra tips would be appreciated it! I gave them my chicken food until I can get some Gambird feed for them on Friday! I got roosts in the pen, its plenty big and I put a bunch of branches in there for extra hiding spots.
*BTW, I know they seem pretty small to be outside, but he had them outside and lives right down the road, so I figure they'll do just fine!*
