One of my chickens died recently and I soulu ligę to gest a new one, but I don't know which breed to choose. I prefer friendlier breeds,but it is important that they don't get bullied by the other birds. I have 1isa Brown, 1 Pekin, 1 auracana, 1 polish, 1 houdan and 1 sultan.
I recommend D'uccles. They are very friendly and lay a fair amount of small creamy white egg. They come in many different variaties and add lots of color to the flock. If you would like a standard I would recommend Australorps or Buff Orps. They add color and are great egg layers. Both breeds are hardy in winter. Hope this helps!!!
