Sorry all as I'm sure I didn't post this in the correct thread...

I just ordered the book "Coop: A Year of Poultry, Pigs, and Parenting" by Michael Perry. Fabulous reviews in Mother Earth News and on Amazon. Has anyone read it yet?

No... but it sounds great! I'm going to see if the library has it.

BTW - Your avatar reminds me of mine.... like a team of lovable trouble makers. Silly labradors.

do yours love the chickens like ours do?

My book comes tomorrow but to be honest with all my chicken duties, my business, gardening...it may be a while before I get to crack it open.

anyone else out there that may have read it?

They LOVE the chickens. Fortunately for us they just like the stuff that comes out the back and have no interest in finding out what they taste like.

I'm interested to see what others have to say about the book......

Not as "chicken-oriented" as I had hoped for, but a funny and entertaining read. Good stuff about growing up, parenting and dealing with aging parents.
Enjoy the read!
