New Books!

Ok so I went on Amazon.com and got some books about chickens and one about how to build chicken coops. I did some reading lastnight and it was very informative.
Storey's guide to raising chickens is wonderful, thanks for all the good advice to pick up that book. Everyone on here has been wonderful.

I also want to add Hen and the Art of Chicken Maintenance by Martin Gurdon. That was the first chicken book I read (along with the Storey's Guide.. LOL). It is lighthearted, funny, and a really quick read. OMG, some of the stuff he says about his rooster had me laughing out loud!

One I love is Keep Chickens! by Barbara Kilarsky
I did lots of LOLs during that book!

I found the book a chick hatches on Amamzon.com it was a old library copy. My daughter really likes it the book shows every stage of the egg all the way to the chick hatching out the the egg. Great photos and it helped me understand what I was looking at when I was candling my eggs. Plus I bought Story's chicken book too.
