I just bought six chicks. One partridge colored, one blue, two white ones and two black ones. My question is which color is most likely to be the one to use for showing?

Quote: Either the white or the black. Chances are you haven't been fortunate enough to buy a world beater in partridge or blue...these are real difficult colors. Pick the black or the white bird which has the best breed type. Black is easier to groom for showing than white. If your black bird has a purple, instead of green sheen to its feathers, pick the white bird. Only one breed that I know of requires a purple sheen instead of the green sheen. In most all breeds, the purple sheen is frowned upon.
Best,
Karen
