the temp is holding really good, i got the temp at 99.5 it has been going from 99.3 to 99.7. i checked the eggs last night, 8 are doing great, i to pull 4, nothing going on in those,

its nice that the only thing i need to do is keep up the water.

I hope that I can hatch in mine... if not I'm in trouble.

I have 27 in there... thinking that I will have some quitters at day 10 (next Monday)

LOL! I bought myself the same exact thing for Christmas!

I put a note on it that said To Mommy, Love Daddy...Merry Christmas! hahaha Of course, he saw it and cracked up while knowing I have absolutely lost my mind.

Mine are due on the 23rd...only 4 left after shipping eggs, but hoping all four make it to chickhood!

Good luck!

I have a question. Does the turner have to come out for the last few days to hatch or do they hatch right in place. I'm looking at this bator myself. Mike

I have the same brinsea
the turner is an external rocker
so you take it off the rocker and set the incubator on flat table instead of letting it continue to be rocked
very easy

Yes, I'm a fan of this incubator. It's been rock solid on temp, have not cooked any eggs from spikes etc.
does a good job on humidity too.
I have the Octagon 20 Advanced with the digital readout of both temp and humidity.
Been going ever since I got it (March 09) with a few rests in between. I have 8 eggs in it right now due on Tuesday.

My only complaint is how many eggs I can hatch at once.
I have a cabinet incubator and hatcher now as well for when I have more eggs than the Brinsea can handle... but that is an addiction problem... but if it's 24 or less I always use the Brinsea. I trust it.
The Brinsea is a great, steady incubator that will help you have successful hatches. It costs more than the stryofoam ones, but I see that as it's only drawback.
And I can stick it in the dishwasher!
