We just built this today for our chicks and it only took about an hour and a half. Much more room for them and a lot more sturdy than the old cardboard box. Best part is we can use it each year for our new chicks!!!
Dimensions: 60"x24"x24".
Materials: 2x4s, 1x2s, OSB boards, poultry fencing and screws.
We also added a hinged lid with loop locks for when they start trying to 'fly the coop.'
Can't wait to take a stab at building our coop outside in a few weeks. Still cold here in Michigan so we have just been gathering all our materials so far.
