Well ladies and gentlemen my name is Jason Gibson, I was around chickens a bunch when i was younger. My dad use to hatch bitties in an icubator. My son Jeremy is 8 and we have lost our two dogs to unfortunate situations. He has taken this hard since we've had them since he was born. He has showed a bunch of interest in chickens, so here is what i want to do. I want to let him experience the beginning from egg to hatching and while that process is going on, i want to get him involved in building a small coop with me. I need some direction on great started kits for the incubation process and also some building plans for small coops. Thanks again for your time and i look forward to many more threads.

Nice to meet you Jason, hope you will enjoy BYC as much as we do. I have never incubated eggs but, I'm sure other greetings coming up will be able to answer your questions.

You may want to check out the coops section for different types and sizes of coops, that may be what you are looking for. Some have descriptions and step by step comments.

You can also post on one of the current "Hatch a Long " threads going on now.
