New button quail

9 new button quail have no idea the sex of them cause i dont have any eggs or the color mutation, 8 have red feathers around there bum and one dosent (grey one) do the females growl ?

I can't help you since I just got my first pair this morning but have fun with them! They're very cute

Alexandra is our cbbq (button) quail gurru, but if there is red around their vents, they are male. And only males crow, thats the growly, wind blowing noise they make. That single female might be growling to keep the boys on good behaviour!

The dark ones seems males to me too.
How old are they?

im not sure the age, the one alone dosent growl but all the others do. looks like i got 8 males and 1 girl DOH!

All the one who have the blue breast are males.

Red vents are indicators of males. Males also make a growling sound.

ETA: If 8 have red feathers, those 8 are males.
