Still five pips, but a couple are getting larger.

First baby out! A 6th one pipped, too. Fast hatch. It had a normal pip, no zipping. I went outside for about 15 minutes and came back in to a baby out of its shell.

That's why I like my Barred Rocks, no messing around usually. And this is funny...I number my eggs in each breed. Guess which one hatched first? #1. If I recall, the same thing happened the first time I hatched eggs from Kate's crew. Weird. At least this one looks like a girl at first glance-very dark down the fronts of her legs. Yippeee!

You're right! The last time you hatched my eggs they came nearly in order hahaha! Too funny!

Come on Mister babies! Give Cyn 100%! LOL I was planning on 80% but oh well!

What do you do to make these chicks hatch in order, Katie?! That is so funny. I kept a notebook of that hatch; just looked in it and sure enough, #1 hatched, then #2! Now, it started that way again.

Pip on a 7th Barred Rock egg and the first baby is about fluffed out enough to actually go to the brooder, but I'll wait a bit. Day 21 starts in about 45 minutes and half pipped, not bad.
