1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first chickens about a year ago, and have quickly found that I am a chicken addict.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 12 (4 adults, 3 pullets, 5 SR babies)
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Cochin Bantams, 3 Satins, 1 Frizzle Cochin Bantam, 1 Mille Fluer D’Uccle, 3 Tolbunt Polish, 2 Frizzle Tolbunt Polish
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
everything! I love how every chicken has their own personality, love watching them “chicken” and could watch them all day long. The free eggs are a bonus!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love all animals and most of my day to day revolves around that. Occasionally I enjoy gaming.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m a mom of 2, with an amazingly understanding husband (
). I’ve been a Veterinary Technician for about 6 years.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
google, and I’ve known about the website since starting to get into chickens about a year ago. I finally decided to join after my neighbor (also a chicken lady) reminded me of how amazing it is!
