my name is Katelyn. I’m a critical care registered nurse who recently started working from home with blue cross. This gave me the opportunity to go back to farming like I was raised doing with my grandparents. I have two goats, an African grey goose, 2 buff orps, 2 light brahmas, 2 silver laced wyandottes, and 2 Easter Eggers. I also have a 2 year old daughter I’m teaching to love animals :love and a husband who’s brand new to farming and learning as we go.

Welcome to BYC!
:yesss: We are glad you joined our flock!
Is your goose nice? I visit my local park and there is a "wild" goose there that terrifies me.

Honkers is super sweet he was hand raised. Not by us but he’s attached to us quickly. I hand raised baby geese growing up. They have such personalities and their sweet if hand raised.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a nice family and menagerie of animals. The is a great place to interact with people with similar interests, so don't hesitate to join in conversations or ask questions.

Thank you so much I definitely will! It’s been years since I had chickens so I’m full of questions. I grew up on a horse farm and my grandparents had game and Rhode Island reds but this is my first time owning “fancy chickens” and I’m always wanting to know more about them

Honkers :love I love his name!
I hope to be able to hand raise some one day.
I think they are beautiful.

You came to the right place! We're all pretty enthusiastic about our birds.
