& from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Wow, she sure is beautiful I've always been fascinated with falconry and would love to take it up one day in the future. I think I remember seeing a thread about a member that had just started in it several months ago.

Thank you, this is her best picture, she is beautiful as she is smart, a pigeon owner heed me train her in catching birds, he didn't want to eat, or sell his pigeons so he helped me train her with them.

Hi Falconry,
Lovely bird you have there. We keep many chickens on our yard where we also have many Buzzards. We love both types of birds and can spend hours watching the buzzards as well as hours watching the chicks and chickens. We have never had a problem and only freerange when we are there. The rest of the time our chcikens are in big runs under netting. Birds of Prey are a welcome sight in Devon, esp Buzzards as they have recently become protected. Before they were always killed by farmers etc. If a Buzzard was to get one of our birds then thats not the Buzzards fault (or the fox for that matter) its ours. Its only natural for any preditor and even though we have had offers of "getting rid of them" we never would. Birds of prey have as much right to be on our yard as we do and all birds of prey are beautiful to see.
