blue varies in color quite a bit. Silver is a double dose of the blue gene. Blue is a dominant modifier of black. One dose of blue on black makes a blue duck, 2 doses makes a silver duck.Is there a modifying gene to make them lighter? Or is it just a natural variance of colour?
Silver in ducks is the equivalent to splash in chickens. In my opinion they looks nothing like my silvers and are too dark in color. They appear to be a lighter blue. I'll get some pictures of my silvers today.
