New camera has special effects.

Bought a new camera this week. Canon ELPH 300 HS. Anyway, it has some special effects. Not even knowing much about these I took a few pics.

This is the Fish Eye effect. Made my bantam look OBESE. Not really fish eye looking to me.



Toy Camera effect. Has a vintage look to it. I kind of like this one.



Next is the Miniature effect. Blurs the top and bottom . This is probably my new fav. effect.



Finally the monochrome effect. basically black and white i guess. I like it too and I love this pic. I lol'd pretty hard.



Anyway, more to come once I get the hang of the camera. There are other effects as well as scene modes. This camera is pretty cool. I takes AMAZING 1080p video @ 24fps. Looks REALLY good on my HDTV. It's AMAZING (haha going crazy with the caps) what they can do with cameras these days. I got this camera (the size of a credit card) on sale for $130.

I loved my little Canon camera, but as nice as they appear, they are not very tolerant of heavy use. Be very careful when carrying it about as a bump may cause the camera to develop the dreaded 'lens error'.

However, many of my early photos on this site were taken by a tiny Canon Elph. I loved the way I could put my camera right in the middle of the action and get some nice shots. You can put your fingers around the camera to camouflage it so you can catch natural chicken action.
