The peas will be two weeks Friday.. does the hen look like she is holding her wings funny or is it because she is loosing some of her flight feathers. After reading all your post I am getting nervous. She is acting normal and a great mom. Neither her or the peacock are friendly. By the way...what color would you call her? Thank you in advance

Wings do look a little funny but she doesnt look droopy. I don't let mine raise their chicks is this a way for her to give them an easy hiding place. She is a blackshoulder just like the peacock and chicks.

Pretty girl and pretty babies! She looks fine to me.

Mom and dad are both looking up as though they see a hawk, sometimes peamoms hold their wings and tail like that to make a protective peababy tent!

it is a 10x30 welded dog kennel...you can get it from tractor supply .(it's 2 kennels) I have a top net on. We used to raise pheasants for the DEC release program. I added 1X1 square deer netting to the inside to keep the little ones in. I have perches on both ends and the can go in and out as the please.

She is scared .... she is afraid for her peachicks ... she tries to double its volume to impress! it inflates its plumage! ... Normal!
