New chic hatched today.

Just saw my first chic hatch....we set 8 eggs, not sure how the others are going to go.

This little cutie is the product of a NH Red Roo and a bantam "mutt"...not sure what we are going to get with this one. Egg was laid 5/28, went into the incubator 5/29. It squawked for last 3 days, and pipped/zipped in about 20 minutes time today. I was able to catch the hatch on video, too.

Here's a pic of the 2 that hatched. Yellowish one is the NH Red-Bantam mutt cross; Brownish one is from a NH Red Roo and Barred Rock Hen.

Still waiting on the rest, but its looking like this might be all we get out of 8 eggs. : (

I have 4 fertilized eggs that are between 21 & 24 days old...think I should take a shot at setting them?

Our first hatch of the season. Since this pick was taken 3 more have hatched, 1 trying and hopefully 6 more will. All Buff Orpingtons.
