New to Chics, my grandfather raised meat birds when I was small but not egg birds. We have 10 that
purchased as 1 day old chicks in late May 2025. I have 3 easter eggers, 3 australorps, and 4 buff orpingtons.
We live very close to a wildlife area with hawks, eagles and pray birds so no unsupervised free range. They have a 140 sq ft pen, with a coop designed to hold 17 to20 birds. Looking forward to more education, consistent, for the girls.
