New chick anxieties and questions!

I did have one not eat. I mashed up food and mixed with water and tried to feed her, but nothing. When she did try to eat she had a hard time swallowing it down. She did drink a little. She pass about seven days in. Not that it will happen to your chick, but just so you know.

Some chicks do fail to thrive.

Morning update! I walked in this morning and the Black Star (we’re calling her Munch) was out and pecking around. I definitely saw her eat lots! I tried to get her to drink again but no dice - she may have been drinking earlier though because she was out and about? I’ll keep watching, but at least she is eating.

Thanks guys! I think it was just an adjustment period, because she is totally sturdy and curious and active and hungry and thirsty now hahaha. Thanks for easing my worry, everyone!
