I got a blk Australorp from the feed store 2 days ago. I just noticed that one of the chicks has a crop that sticks out more noticeably than any other chick I have had ( I am still new at this)

. Could it have sour crop? It eats and drinks, its poop is stinkier than the rest( there are only 2 others in brooder) When I first got her she slept more than the other one I got at the feed store. Her energy seems better today. I don't know how old they are. I think 6-7 days old? I am not really good at posting pics:he
Does this sound normal? Am I just an over anxious chicken mama?

OK.....you beat me to the punch. I was just getting ready to look this up and recheck in the am before I asked for any suggestions. Mine are from my White Leghorns and they are acting fine. They are about 10 days old. They both have it but one was firmer than the other so I thought it might just be fuller. I'll check them again in the am but will be watching this thread.

Hello fellow concerned chick mama! It is nice to know I am not alone. Not that I wish your chickens any illness...I just wonder if I overreact to things esp, because I am new at this and I love the little fluffy things! Yeah sometimes I can feel the food in the crop which I think is normal and then other times it feels kinda squishy. It still protrudes either way.
