New chick from TSC has leg issue. :)

I tried to upload a video but the file was too large. Where the chick’s leg is bent, it’s slightly swollen compared to its other leg. It has no trouble getting around but clearly does not use that leg fully. Has anyone seen this, or have any idea of where I should start to help this little. Thanks y’all!

He might have been shoved around in transit. I'd give it time. If he's eating ok, I wouldn't stress out too much.

So, just see if the leg straightens out? Is there a certain amount of time that I should give it?

That’s what it looks like and stands with it up. Like it doesn’t have full movement to straighten

@Sue Gremlin I found an article on BYC about helping to heal a slipped tendon. I’m going to see if that’s the case and if so, I’ll use the techniques mentioned in the article. Thank you for bringing up that possibility and helping to give me a direction to go in.

With the scab on the hock, it does look like it might be a slipped tendon. Sometimes they can be born with leg bone deformities on just one or both legs, and those can get worse with growing. Varus or valgus deformity are common, and one makes them knocked kneed while the other makes them bowlegged. Sometimes it helps to see a picture of how they stand to tell what the problem may be.
