new chick just hatched not closed up?

Ok not sure if Im saying this right.
Have my last chick hatch and where the egg hooks to its hind end the hole looks big and how long does it take to close up. Or is something wrong with it?

ok so I looked at it and its not as big as I thought but I did cut it away from the shell so it wont pull his guts out, any more ideas.
How long does it take to asorb the yolk? the thing has a huge tummy.

Can you post a pic? It doesn't sound bad, but I'd like to see it before I say that for sure.

Oh its ok I think, he is moving around now and its dried up. I did have to put paper tape on his little foot it was curled up.
