My husband and I have been talking about getting chickens for a while now. I found a local hatchery that we visited today and brought home 5 Rhode Island Red chicks. I have yet to build my coop but I have all the materials just waiting for me to put together. My one year old son thought they were the coolest thing in the whole world. He hated that he couldn't play with them all night and had to go to sleep.
Our pug aristotle sniffed at them and then walked over to his bed and laid down...apparently not as thrilled as we were about our new additions to the family.
Can't wait to see them grow! They are already so fun to watch!
