Hello everyone! I live in the Arizona White Mountains and am a new Mama to 15 chicks . I know, I'm a little crazy. I started with 6 last Wednesday and by Friday afternoon I had 9 more. I am just grateful I have the room to raise this many chickens. Right now they are living in a baby playpen next to my bed! Everything seems to be going great except that I can't get them to eat wet or fermented feed. I am so glad I found this site! I have learned so much and can't wait to learn so much more! Have a great day everybody!

Hello, and welcome! It's beautiful up there in the White Mountain's! I'm here in AZ. too. Have you tried feeding the chick's some dry chick starter feed?
Thank you BlueBaby, I started them on dry started feed and they are eating very well, but when I I produce wet or fermented feed they won't go near it! I was told chickens were not picky eaters! 😊

Some of the new chick's won't go for the wet at first. I have dry for mine, and when I start the wet feed with them, make sure that it's not too wet. You can also sprinkle a bit of the dry over the top of your mixed up wet feed.

We do have an Arizona state thread here at BYC, and you would be welcome to come and chat there with the rest of us here:
