Hello. My name is Sarah and I am 30 years old. I am a new chicken mom unexpectedly. 
My mom got chickens actually, and at the moment I have been at home with the babies because I don't have a job. We got the Omlet Eglu cube early in the mail and decided we just couldn't wait for mail order babies. So we built the coop, drove an hour away to a man on Craigslist who was selling chicks. (Sounds sketchy to you already? Yeah, we were blindsided about getting chickies to pay attention to that fact.) We brought home four beautiful girls that we love very much. Bells, is approximately 8 wk-old golden laced Wyandotte. Buttercup, is black copper Maran who is possibly also 8 wks-old. Bubbles, is around 6 wks-old and a lavender Orpington. Then finally Blossom, a black and white Orpington who is around 5 wks-old. Or so we were told. We have since gotten three Ameraucana who are definitely 4 wks-old from a chicken hobbyist who has a much higher standard for hatching and raising her chicks. I want to make this introduction as positive as possible, so this is where I will leave it and ask my questions later. I am just so excited to be here and to learn as much as I can.
