I have the finishing touches to my coop. Is 10” H too low for australorps?

It's not ideal, but it's fine if they don't have anything higher up to jump up and roost on. If they do, they will choose the higher surface. If not, I'm sure they will sleep on this just fine.

10" high for... is that the nest box opening? A roost?

If it's the nest box, you need to remember to add a lip to the front too, so you're losing 2-4" on the front bottom as well.

Oh whoops. Disregard my above comment because I thought the picture was of a roost bar going across.
