Hi All,
I'm brand new here, and I hope you can help me. Our silkie, Gertie, hatched two chicks recently. One is under her right wing, but the other is just sitting in the bedding uncovered. I'm worried that it's not staying warm enough. Did Gert reject this chick? I have an incubator warmed up in the house. Should I take the chick and put it in the incubator, or is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

Well, when I went to the coop to get the chick it looked 100% better. It was on it's feet, snuggling up to mom, and peeping. Needless to say, I left it with Gertie. In case anyone is wondering about the chicks, they are the progeny of our Silkie rooster and our laying hens. We have an older chick who is half silkie/leghorn. This little black chick is probably silkie/Asian Black, and I believe the chick under Gert's other wing is silkie/Golden Comet. I'm not 100% sure of the breeds. Our friend bought the chickens off some hillbilly as a housewarming gift for us, lol!

It is the best source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and energy that is absorbed into the bloodstream in minutes and unlike other supplements, doesn't have to go through the digestion process.
There are different formulations for all sorts of animals. Try to get the one for poultry.
